Belinda Miller is the Head of Service for Economic
& Environmental Sustainability at Aberdeen City Council. This
service takes the strategic approach to ensuring quality of life – for
Economic Development, Sustainable Development, Culture and Leisure.
Current areas of work include climate change and the potential for
renewable energy and technology, economic diversification and the
development of a Regional Sports Facility.
Belinda previously worked for the Authority’s Chief Executive as the
Sustainability Co-ordinator. Her focus has been on climate change
alongside procurement, resource efficiency, waste management and
corporate responsibility. She was the official Scottish Local
Government delegate to the World Summit for Sustainable Development in
2001. Originally from Ireland, Belinda has lived in Scotland since
1991.
