Rosie Leven is a Principal Planner at the Scottish Executive, currently responsible for co-ordinating the implementation of the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006. She also leads on the new arrangements for development planning and assessment of planning authority performance. Rosie has worked at the Scottish Executive for 9 years, covering a variety of planning topics, including policy on green belts and advice on open space.

For the last few years she has been focused on modernisation of the planning system and was part of the core team that wrote the White Paper Modernising the Planning System.

Rosie previously worked in development control at the City of Edinburgh Council.
