Gordon Watson has been Director of Planning for Scotland’s first National Park since its establishment in 2002. He has been responsible for establishing and directing its statutory planning functions as well as the preparation of its first National Park Plan, recently approved by Ministers, integrating and co-ordinating all activities within the Park. Previously Gordon was Planning Manager with the predecessor Interim Committee for the area which oversaw the lead-in to National Park designation and prior to that was in charge of planning policy with West Dunbartonshire Council.
