Mary Senior Print E-mail
senior, mary Mary Senior has been an Assistant Secretary with the Scottish Trades Union Congress since October 2003, where she has a varied policy remit that includes race and gender equality, social justice, international issues, skills and education. 

Mary has chaired the ground breaking Close the Gap partnership which empowers individuals and employers to take actions to close the gender pay gap. She is a member of the Scottish Women’s Convention Steering Group, and represents the STUC on the Scottish Working People’s History Trust.

Previously she worked for UNISON, and the GMB union as its Equal Rights Officer in Scotland.  Originally from Staffordshire, and a Graduate of the University of Sheffield, she moved to Scotland in 1995 to take up a research post with former Euro MP Hugh McMahon.
