Liz has worked for the Local Authority in Dundee for 31 years after graduating in Youth and Community Work. Over this time Liz has held a range of senior positions covering youth work, capacity building, integrated management of services, social inclusion and community safety.
Currently Community Safety Manager, Liz manages the Community Safety Team including Community Safety Wardens and Community Safety Workers.
A key element of Liz's work is to support the work of Dundee Community Safety Partnership and she chairs the operational group progressing the CSP priorities and action plans. Liz has been instrumental in developing the successful data sharing model in Dundee with Tayside Police and other partners.
Liz chairs the Scottish Community Warden Network and with colleagues from the Network recently gave evidence to the Justice Committee Review of Community Policing. Liz is also an executive member of the Scottish Community Safety Network.
Consultation and engagement with communities feature highly in Liz's every day work and the results of this underpin the work and development of her teams priorities.
