daniel robertson.jpgDaniel Robertson is the Health Convener of the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) and also sits on its Board of Directors.

Daniel who lives in the Shetland Isles heads up the youth parliaments Health Committee which this year completed a Scotland wide campaign on free prescriptions for all young people. He has a particular interest in young people’s mental health and in the youth parliament represents Penumbra one of Scotland’s leading mental health organisations.

Daniel has become well known throughout Scotland for his youth activism and in 2006 he received the first ever YoungScot Award for Health. Over the past 5 years Daniel has contributed to a number of key Scottish Government and NHS groups and events proving that Island life is not a barrier to participation.
