Do you work in Tourism, Urban Design, Education, Communities, Health, Sport, Transport, the Environment or as a private businessperson? Are you a national or local politician, local government chief executive, professional, public transport operator, large employer or user group representative? Or do you just have something to say?
If the answer to any of these questions is YES, we want to hear from you.
The Cycling Scotland Conference this year is being taken over by the exciting development of the first ever national Cycling Action Plan for Scotland (CAPS). This is a fantastic opportunity for Scotland to provide greater focus for and co-ordination of the delivery of policies that will encourage more cycle use as part of improving the quality of life of the Scottish population.

Who will set the Cycling Action Plan for Scotland Agenda?
You will.
We are currently engaging the public in a number of ways. The issues thrown up by the public will be taken forward to the Conference to allow you, the key stakeholders to shape the content of the Cycling Action Plan for Scotland.
This is your chance to not just be heard, but to listen to the views of politicians, professionals and the public.
The output from the Conference and from the public engagement events will be reported on in full and will shape the future direction of cycling in Scotland.
To start the event as we mean to go on we are pleased to offer free bike hire to and from Perth Bus & Rail Stations for delegates to enjoy a quick cycle to the conference venue, where bike storage will be available.
If you wish to take advantage of this offer, please select the checkbox on the 'Request a Place' page.
Click here to download a PDF map of the recommended cycle routes from the Bus Station to the conference venue. The pink route would be the most scenic and would enable delegates to experience the joys of the Tay Street cycle lanes. This brings you into the rear of the Concert Hall and straight to the existing cycle parking. The green route is slightly shorter and less scenic.

The most important part of this exciting event therefore will be the workshop sessions, where we get to hear what you think should happen.
All delegates will be given the opportunity to attend four workshop sessions covering different topics identified in the public engagement process. We will circulate the topics for discussion once the public engagement exercises have been analysed.
We hope to have an interesting blend of political, technical, professional and user group representation in order to capture a broad range of views and stimulate some interesting debate. So bring your thinking and talking CAPS with you!!
As well as good old-fashioned discussion, you will use sophisticated electronic polling equipment throughout the day to record your views on key Cycling Action Plan topics. All of this information will be analysed in the Public and Stakeholder Engagement Report and used to help formulate the direction and scope of the CAPS.
Polling is quick and east and full instructions will be given on the day.
There will be limited opportunities to exhibit at this conference, to request more information on exhibiting, please complete this form.
