Mary is the Head of Education and Workforce Development at Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). She has worked in the social services for twenty four years and has experience of working in both local authorities and the voluntary sector.
Mary is responsible for leading the delivery of the SSSC's overall learning and development functions, managing the strategic direction of regulation, practice learning and workforce development functions and promoting the work of the SSSC and the social services sector.
This role includes working closely with UK partners, the Scottish Government, the Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Services, and other key stakeholders, ensuring the SSSC plays a role in shaping policy and practice across the sector.
