Jacqueline leads the Early Life Nutrition Group at the Rowett Research Institute (1997 to present). The group uses clinically relevant animal models to investigate how maternal nutrition influences fetal growth and development and how this impacts on subsequent metabolism and health.
Jacqueline’s particular focus is the nutritional antecedents of adverse pregnancy outcome in young adolescent girls and her unique paradigms have attracted prestigious collaborations with laboratories in the USA and funding from both the Scottish Government and the National Institutes of Health.
Jacqueline originally trained in reproductive endocrinology at the MRC Centre for Reproductive Biology in Edinburgh and has authored over 70 original research papers to date.
