Jacqué is the Assistant Director of the Childhood and Families Research and Development Centre, and the Course Director of the BA Education and Social Services degree.
Jacqué's original background was in nursing before moving into research and evaluation concerned with early childhood, family and community issues from 1990. Jacqué's current research interests include integration of services for children, collaborative approaches and social inclusion. She has led on a number of research projects including Involving fathers in Children's Services and Play@home in the Highlands.
She is a member of the Positive Behaviour in the Early Years Research Team and also a trans European team addressing social inclusion and integration of services. Jacqué is a member of a European network in which she serves on a working group on Professionalism in Early years Services (with a focus on diversity). Jacqué has delivered courses for local authorities and the voluntary sector on topics related to models of integration, such as team building; inter-agency working; partnership with parents; developing policy; and self-evaluation - in the context of child and family services.
