Carol is currently the chair of the Education Issues Group within Unison Scotland which was established to progress issues relevant to our Education members, including those who work in Early Years. She was also a member of the steering group for the 2004 National Review of the Early Years and Childcare Workforce, bringing her twenty six years of experience as a nursery nurse to the review as well as the experiences of her colleagues.
She knows the benefits to children from accessing high quality early years education and childcare and is continuing the campaign for the professional recognition of the staff who provide it.
