Nick is currently on secondment to The Scottish Government to lead on CONTEST Prevent.

He previously worked in research capacity within the mental health field in West Berkshire and Nottingham; day centre officer social services in Bradford, community development worker in Nottinghamshire, Social Inclusion Partnership Manager at a race and faith equality project in Fife and more recently employed as Equalities Manager at the City of Edinburgh Council.

Nick has a BSc Hons Politics and Economics from Bradford University 1985 to 1988 and an M.A. Diploma in Social Work from Nottingham University 1994 to 1996

His voluntary work includes; youth drug use, youth centres and disability advocacy.
