Dumfries and Galloway Fire Station

David is Chair of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service New Dimensions Forum which is responsible for developing and implementing the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service resilience programme.  He represents the Chief Fire Officers Association (Scotland) on a range of National and UK interests.

Transferred to Hereford and Worcester and then to North Yorkshire where he held the post of Deputy Chief Fire Officer for 6 years.  He moved to Dumfries and Galloway in 2002.

David joined the Fire Service as a Fire-fighter in 1979 in Northamptonshire where he served until 1994.
