Kenneth Corsar Print E-mail
Kenneth Corsar is a teacher by profession and taught in several secondary schools in West Central Scotland.  He joined the Education directorate of Strathclyde Regional Council in 1975 and held various posts in Strathclyde before being appointed as Director of Education for Glasgow City Council on the reorganisation of local government in 1995.  He worked for Glasgow City Council  until 2002.

He also served as the Scottish Director for the National Deaf Children’s Society and currently Chairs in a voluntary capacity the Advisory Committee for the Scottish Sensory Centre.

He joined the Lanarkshire NHS Board as a  non-executive member in 2003 and became Chairman in 2005. 

One of his priorities is Health Improvement and Reducing Health Inequalities in the population.  He served on the recent Ministerial Task Force on Reducing Health Inequalities.
