Caroline has twenty years experience working within Glasgow City Council Social Work Department this includes seventeen years working in an Area Team. Duties were working mostly in child care and community care. Then she had three years with the Criminal Justice Team, Glasgow Sheriff Court.
She joined VIA in August 2002 and was appointed Glasgow High Court VIA Officer in 2003. VIA was a new concept to C.O.P.F.S and she was instrumental in establishing the role of VIA within Glasgow High Court. Her work there includes face to face contact in dealing with bereaved next of kin, victims of crime, vulnerable witnesses including child witnesses, liaising with Advocate Deputes and other agencies such as, Police, Social Work and Witness Service.
Her achievements were recognised when in 2008 she was awarded both the local and national C.O.P.F.S Excellence Awards for her work within Glasgow High Court.
