Jennifer is a partner in the real estate team at McGrigors LLP and a key member of the Planning & Environment Team which operates across five UK offices. Jennifer specialises in planning law and compulsory purchase.
Recently she was involved in advising Lewis Wind Power (British Energy plc/Amec plc joint venture) in relation to the property, planning and consents issues associated with proposed 600MW wind farm in the Western Isles.
She was also negotiating and concluding key planning agreements, predominantly acting for the owner/developer but, in relation to a number of large scale cross-boundary wind farms and open cast coal/mixed use developments, acting for the relevant local planning authorities.
Jennifer has also been advising renewable energy developers and operators on the property, planning and environmental aspects of schemes, across the UK including CHP, wind farms (onshore and offshore – both Round 1 and 2), small scale hydro, biomass, landfill gas utilisation and hydrogen power combined with carbon capture and storage (CCS);
