Duncan Orr-Ewing is Head of Species and Land Management for RSPB Scotland. In this role he is responsible for the management of RSPB Scotland's nature reserve network of 65,000 hectares; our species recovery work; our advice to landowners; and our work with the Police and other agencies involved with the follow up of wildlife crime.
He is a member of Scotland's Moorland Forum and a Director of the Langholm Demonstration Project, which has the aim of restoring a driven grouse muir on Buccleuch Estates, whilst at the same time conserving protected bird of prey species.
He is also heavily involved in the reintroduction projects for both red kites and white-tailed eagles in Scotland.
In his spare time he carries out bird surveys and monitors birds of prey including red kites, buzzards and ospreys in west Perthshire.
