For 14 years Colin has been the Director of BASC Scotland, the country’s largest shooting organisation. Colin represents BASC on the National Access Forum, Scotland’s Moorland Forum and the National Goose Management Review Group. He is a Board member of the Heather Trust, PAW Scotland and the Deer Commission for Scotland, and has recently been appointed to SNH’s Scientific Advisory Committee.
Prior to 1994 he spent 3 years researching deer management in Scotland and five years dealing with European issues for BASC. He is a zoology graduate of Glasgow University, where he also completed his Ph.D. on the roosting behaviour of urban gulls.
