Drew Scott is Professor of European Union in the School of Law at the University of Edinburgh, and Co-Director of the Europa Institute.
Between 1979 and 1992 Drew lectured in the Department of Economics at Heriot-Watt University. In 1992 he was appointed Senior Lecturer, and subsequently Professor of European Union Studies, in the Europa Institute.
Between 1991 and 1998 he was Co-Editor of the Journal of Common Market Studies, the world’s leading academic journal in the area of economic and political integration.
Although his research has spanned a wide range of EU issues over many years, much of his recent work involves the analysis of the role and position of sub-state territories within the EU – in particular Scotland.
