Iain was appointed as the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Estonia in Scotland in 2003.
He retired from politics in 1998 having held senior office in both the Conservative Party and the SNP.
Among many business interests he built three pest control companies in Scotland, Cyprus and Estonia. In 2007 he sold his business in Estonia to Rentokil plc and is currently the Area Director for Rentokil in the Baltics and is also engaged in business acquisitions on their behalf throughout Eastern Europe.
Iain is married with two daughters and his wife Celia is currently the Provost of Renfrewshire
