Professor Chris Warhurst, Director of the Scottish Centre for Employment Research - Drilling Down into Scotland’s Labour Market
Chris Warhurst is Professor of Labour Studies and Co-Director of the Scottish Centre for Employment Research at the University of Strathclyde Business School. His research, teaching and publications focus on labour market and labour process issues. He has sole, co-authored and co-edited more than 10 books and published in academic and popular journals in the UK and internationally. He was also commissioning editor of the New Horizons public interest reports and is a co-founder of the Scottish think-tank Big Thinking. He is recipient of a number of ESRC awards and various other research contracts from the public, private and voluntary sectors. He also sits on a number of advisory groups for the Scottish Executive, Scottish Enterprise and the Joseph Rowntree Trust.
Chris will present some of the key findings of SCER’s four year programme of research examining occupational issues and developments across the Scottish labour market.
