Susan Milne is the Manager of The South Edinburgh Partnership, one of the former Social Inclusion Partnerships in Edinburgh. She has held this post since 1999, prior to which she was Local Facilities and Environment Manager with Wester Hailes Partnership, one of the four pioneering New Life for Urban Scotland Partnerships. Susan also has ten years experience of working in a Local Authority and ten years experience of working in the Voluntary Sector.
Susan has an interest in the educational curriculum, and in particular feels strongly that young people should be provided with an educational experience that respects and meets their needs and prepares them for the destination of their choice when they leave the school system. She has successfully developed the JET Programme, a vocational training programme which provides S4 students with relevant learning experiences, marketable skills and both academic and vocational qualifications.
