tomcampbell.jpgTom Campbell brings a wealth of experience from key roles within the NHS in Glasgow and regeneration initiatives.  A graduate of Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities, Tom joined the NHS in a senior administrative role, but quickly found his niche in delivering key property projects such as the disposal of surplus land at Leverndale, Gartloch, Belvidere, Woodilee and Lennox Castle hospitals.  The latter was linked to his secondment as Chief Executive of the Lennoxtown Initiative, and with it, the major coup of securing the relocation of Celtic's training facility to Lennoxtown.  These strategically important property deals led to direct investment in new NHS services and regeneration, alongside a series of key lease acquisitions such as the West of Scotland Breast Screening Service premises in Glasgow city centre.

Tom's view that public sector property portfolios should be used as the driver for change and regeneration in local communities is well demonstrated by his involvement as Project Director of Kirkintilloch's Initiative and more recently as Chief Executive of Lennoxtown Initiative.  Both these regeneration initiatives have taken public sector property assets and used them as a catalyst for change and reinvestment in the community.

Following the revaluation of the NHS in Scotland estate in 2004, Tom was invited by the Health Department to chair the Revaluation Review Group which examined the asset valuation process, valuation methodology and how, in practice, these were applied to the NHS estate.  Recommendations were made to the NHSiS which, when implemented, made an important and valuable contribution to the work of the NHS.

Outwith work Tom assists in coaching a squad of talented performance athletes, many of whom hold national titles, with Victoria Park City of Glasgow Athletic Club.  He is married and his two daughters share his sports and work interest, one being in the athletic squad and the other just having become a student in Property Management and Valuation.
