Peter is a Senior Economist Planner with the architecture, planning and design consultancy Llewelyn Davies Yeang. He is currently working on a major study for One NorthEast looking at its investments in quality of place using, amongst other tools, the recently developed Place Quality Assessment, which tries to capture and quantify those intrinsic physical elements which make great places.
A native of Dublin, he has been adopted as an honorary Northerner having lived in the North East for a number of years while working on a major two-year study for the Northern Way which has sought to unpick the myriad of ways in which “place” and housing in particular have a role to play in supporting and underpinning the economic ambitions of the North. This research has resulted in a wave of fresh thinking about how we consider strategic planning for both the economy and regeneration alike.
