martin_raymond.jpgMartin’s career began in the classroom, where unfortunate teenagers were subjected to his views on world history for over two years.

In 1986 he joined the Scottish Health Education Group working on some classic campaigns, including ‘Be All You Can Be’, ‘Choose Life Not Drugs’ and the first UK campaign on HIV/AIDS.

In the late ‘90s and early ‘00s, HEBS became that rare thing, a trusted public sector brand. The integrated campaign for teenagers, ‘Think About It’, featured advertisements which became part of the childhood and adolescence of many Scots.

HEBS and NHS Health Scotland’s advertising through the 1990s won a large number of Scottish, UK and International awards both for creativity and effectiveness.

In 2005 Martin set up Cloudline PR with Ali O’Neale. It quickly became established as an innovative and effective PR company with clients including, CRUK, Xscape Braehead, Scottish Quest, Cine World, Cycling Scotland and the European Union coming on board in the first year.

In 2007 Martin was named as one of four most influential marketers in Scotland in the last 21 years.

Between 1999 and 2005 Martin was Chairman of Young Scot, the national youth information organisation.
