Liz Shiel is a director of Tribal’s economic development and regeneration team.
An economist, geographer and town planner, she has a special interest in what makes places successful and prosperous. She has focused on the evaluation and development of urban policy and regeneration programmes – from bricks and mortar to people based initiatives.
Recent projects have included work on exchequer savings from employability support in coalfield areas, the impact of vacant and derelict land funding, infrastructure funding in megacities, and getting more value out of the affordable housing secured by the planning system.
