david_anderson.jpgDavid Anderson is Senior Director of Operations of Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh and Lothian - a position he took up in November 2006 - and is responsible for economic development across the Edinburgh city region which covers 4 local authority boundaries.

Prior to this he was Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire (1998);   Director of Business and Skills Development, Enterprise Ayrshire (1991-97);   Programme Development Manager, Training Agency Head Office (1986-90);   Programme Manager, Manpower Services Commission (1984-86).

Graduated 1976, BA Hons in History, University of Stirling;  Post-graduate in Education at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (1977);  Master of Education Degree in Training & Development from the University of Sheffield (1993).

David is an Executive Board Member of Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh and Lothian and a Board Member of Waterfront Edinburgh Limited.  He is also Chairman of The Keynote Trust Ltd.

A Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development.

Married with 4 children.

A keen musician with other main interests in golf, swimming, hill walking and watching  football and rugby.
