Stephen Noon Print E-mail
Stephen Noon is Senior Adviser to the First Minister on policy matters across all portfolios. He was a member of the SNP Election Planning Committee in 2006-07 with responsibility for message development and preparations for government. He began work for Mr Salmond in 1994 as parliamentary assistant in his Banff and Buchan constituency office. In 1996 he started at the SNP Westminster Parliamentary Group and in 1998 became senior Press and Research Officer. After a short period working for the Catholic Church in 2004 he returned to work for Mr Salmond as head of his Leadership Unit and in 2007 became head of the SNP’s Policy and Governance Unit.
