Dame Mary Marsh has been Director and Chief Executive of the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) since September 2000. In February 2006 the charity ChildLine joined with the NSPCC. Her previous career was in education as Headteacher of two comprehensive schools in the 1990’s, on in inner London. She took an MBA at London Business School while she was a Deputy Head in the 1990’s. Throughout her career she has worked on a range of initiatives with central and local governments including social inclusion, curriculum development, business links and ICT in schools.
