Margaret Keyse, Head of Investigations, Scottish Information Commissioner
Margaret has been Head of Investigations for the Scottish Information Commissioner since July 2003. She heads up the Investigations Team, which manages the investigations of appeals made to the Commissioner under FOISA and the EIRs. She advises the Commissioner on legal issues, and is the key in-house advisor to the Commissioner on freedom of information and other legislation.
Margaret studied law at Edinburgh University and qualified as a solicitor in 1993. Before working for the Commissioner, she was Principal Solicitor with Angus Council, where she was heavily involved in child care law, adoption and data protection.
