johndonaldson.jpgJohn Donaldson is currently Head of Immigration & Emergency Services within Glasgow City Council. He took up this post in April 2006.

His current responsibilities from an ‘Asylum’ viewpoint include: Contract Manager on behalf of Glasgow City Council on the Dispersal Contract for asylum seekers with the Home Office, which includes a sub Contract with Glasgow Housing Association for accommodation and John also manages the Glasgow Translation & Interpreting Service.

John has the responsibility for Asylum issues in Glasgow which includes the accommodation for some 4000+ Asylum Seekers and developing strategies/services for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and EU Nationals.

Outwith the office John is a family man who enjoys a good book and the occasional game of golf.
