kateramsden.jpgKate Ramsden is a co-author of “child’s welfare paramount?”, a guide to ethical practice, produced by UNISON and BASW for their Scottish members who work with asylum seeker children. She has been a member of UNISON Scotland’s Social Work Issues Group since its inception in 2003. She is also a member of the union’s Communications and Campaigns Committee and chair of UNISON’s Aberdeenshire Branch.

Kate qualified as a social worker in 1980 and has worked mainly in the field of children and families social work since then. She is currently the Children’s Rights Officer for Aberdeenshire Council.
