Steve Inch is currently Executive Director for Development & Regeneration Services in Glasgow City Council where he has responsibility for City Planning, Property Development and Management, Economic & Social Initiatives and Housing Investment. In addition to his Council responsibilities he is Chairman of Developing Strathclyde Limited, Scotcash Limited and the Glasgow Film Office. He is also a Director of the Wise Group, Drumchapel Opportunities, the Hikkaduwa Area Relief Trust, and the Ruchill Community Trust.

He has worked in the Public Sector for nearly 30 years. Having served his apprenticeship with the Scottish Development Agency and Cumbria County Council he joined Glasgow District Council to help set up its first Economic Development Unit and prepare its first Economic Development Plan. Since then he has been involved in developing and implementing a wide range of the Economic Social and Physical Regeneration Programmes now being implemented in the city.

In between all of this he goes to the Cinema and walks his dogs.
