Bill Nicol is currently Chief Executive of Urban Regeneration Company (URC) Riverside Inverclyde, a £400 million public/private sector initiative aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Inverclyde.
Bill has worked in two local authorities, two local enterprise companies, Scottish Enterprise National and the private sector. Posts have included Director of national priority project - Clyde Regeneration (Clyde Waterfront and Clyde Gateway); Director of Property and Locations (SEN); Head of Inclusion (SEFV); Director of Competitive Place (SER); Director of the Clackmannanshire Economic Development Partnership and a Director of Akeler Scotland (Ltd).
With over 20 years of strategic investment, property and regeneration experience, Bill has a proven track record of successfully delivering high profile national and local investment plans such as the Scottish Enterprise Strategic Investment Plan; Clyde Regeneration Plan; Clackmannshire and Falkirk Action Plans.
Bill graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1984 with an Honours Degree in Town and Country Planning and subsequently obtained post graduate qualifications in Land Economics and Business Administration.
