Professor David Miller is a research leader in the Integrated Land Use Systems Group (ILUS) at the Macaulay Institute. His research includes the development of techniques for analyzing changes in land use and landscape, the means of engaging public input to debating change, and communications of information between public and professional audiences.
He is a Principal Researcher in a research programme into stakeholder and public evaluation of landscapes funded by the, Rural and Environment Research and Analysis Directorate of the Scottish Executive, and also works on strategic and spatial planning and sustainable development. David coordinates the virtual landscapes research at the Macaulay Institute and holds an Honorary Professorship in the OPENSpace Research Centre (Edinburgh College of Art/Heriot Watt University).
