Cllr Alison Hay is COSLA's Environment, Sustainabilty and Community Safety Spokesperson.

Formerly a civil servant, she is currently a member of the Scottish Liberal Democrats Group on Argyll and Bute Council and was Leader of the Council itself from 1999 to 2001.

She is a SEPA Board Member, Chair of the Auchendrain Museum Trust, a member of the Scottish Low Pay Unit and member of GRAB (Group of Recycling in Argyll and Bute).

She is married to John and has two sons, Andrew and Peter.
