Ranald Mair has been Chief Executive of Scottish care since January 2007. Previously he was the Head of School and Head of Service with CrossReach, the Church of Scotland Social Care Council from 1988 to 2006 and a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at Sheffield Hallam University from 1983 to 1988, prior to these posts he worked in Local Authority Social Services in Coventry and Gateshead.
Ranald studied for his Undergraduate Degree at Stirling and completed Post-Graduate Professional Training at Nottingham.
